Parte 2: Potencial pedológico para culturas agrícolas; Potencial pedoclimático para culturas agrícolas; Potencial de terras para irrigação. O objetivo principal do trabalho foi realizar o zoneamento do potencial pedoclimático da região para cinco culturas agrícolas de importância para o estado (abacaxi, cana-de-açúcar, mandioca, milho e sorgo), na escala de 1:50.000, com vistas ao uso dos recursos naturais e ao desenvolvimento agropecuário da região com critérios de sustentabilidade e também subsidiar políticas públicas voltadas para o incentivo à produção agropecuária estadual.

Zygoparity in Characidae - the first case of internal fertilization in the teleost cohort Otomorpha Neotropical Ichthyology

Abstract Most teleosts are externally fertilizing, with internal fertilization occurring as a relatively rare event. Until now, Euteleosteomorpha is the only teleost cohort known to undergo internal fertilization. In the teleost cohort Otomorpha, it has been recorded the presence of sperm in the ovaries of some species of Characiformes and Siluriformes, but no fertilized eggs have been found so far in the female reproductive tract. It has been presumed that oocytes can be released into the water with associated spermatozoa and only there becomes fertilized, and the term insemination has been used to characterize the strategy adopted by these fish. β-galactosidase Encapsulated in Carrageenan, Pectin and Carrageenan/Pectin: Comparative Study, Stability and Controlled Release Anais da ABC (AABC)

Abstract The present study investigated the encapsulation of β-galactosidase in carrageenan, pectin and its hybrid hydrogels by using the ionotropic gelation method. The material obtained was characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), thermogravimetric analysis (TG/DTG) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM). The effects of pH, temperature and storage time were evaluated in terms of the catalytic activity of the free and encapsulated enzyme. Addition studies were conducted evaluating the performance of catalytic activity in vitro conditions. Some jellyfish host zooxanthellae in their tissues (mostly from the family Symbiodiniaceae; Dinophyceae) and supplement their heterotrophic nutrition with their symbiont's photosynthates. The mixotrophy of zooxanthellate jellyfishes (as holobionts) renders the study of their nutrition, growth, and population dynamics complicated.
